Eidos Sold to Square Enix?
Posted by Raziel | Filed under Game News, Movie News
Reports say that on Friday (27 March) shareholders for Eidos Interactive, including the likes of Warner Bros, agreed to a bid made for the company by Square Enix. The bid was originally made early February, but speculation was that they might be outbid.
However, Fridays report suggests that Eidos will be bought by Square.
Though no specific mention has been made by them regarding the LoK series, fans can still remain hopeful that there may yet be another LoK game!

New Look, New Host
Posted by Raziel | Filed under Website News
Last night the move from the old hosting to Cube Websites was completed. It was a lot smoother and quicker than I’d hoped.
I also got them to upgrade my Wordpress for me, and come up with a better design.
What you’re looking at now is the theme they created. I really like it, it’s based on an existing free theme, but modified to suit the content of this site more.
What do you think?

Soul Reaver on Leopard
Posted by Raziel | Filed under Mac, Soul Reaver
I recently managed to get OSX installed on my PC.
I think the operating system is much better than Windows and gives me a more elegant and streamline interface for software/web development.
Anyway, I wanted to play through the Soul Reaver series again and have been wondering if it’d be possible to get it working on OSX, rather than having to boot into Windows every time I want to play.
So far I’ve done some basic reading, but not actually found any solutions on how exactly to do it.
I’ll be trying it with Crossover Games shortly and will report back how that goes.
If you’ve already managed to get this game working then please do let me know how.

Origin of LoK Movie Site…
Posted by Raziel | Filed under Website News
Well, ever since I completed Soul Reaver 2 (which I did before I got to the end of the first one), I have been addicted to the Legacy of Kain series. I went out and got the Blood Omen games, and once Defiance was released I got it for the XBOX - after hearing about those awful camera angles on PC.
The series has to be one of the best, if not the best, I’ve ever played. It really becomes more than a game, and something far more like a movie. The story is far better than that of some actual flicks I’ve seen recently. Since then I’ve pretty much believed the Legacy of Kain only deserves a to be viewed in its full glory as a blockbuster!
So what’s the solution? Start my own site and hopefully start a discussion of how the movie should be. I’m aiming it to be 100% fan-based and so if anyone has anything to contribute they’re more than welcome to do so.
Thanks for reading, and for visiting
