I’d love to see a legacy of Kain movie saga. I’ve thought about it for awhile and I think that alot of the actors from the game would be fine for the movie seeing as most of them would be done in make-up and/or CGI or resemble their characters anyway and I think that authenticity to the voices is definitely desired as the actors voices in the game were very memorable, I couldn’t imagine anyone other than Simon Templeman playing Kain. Mobius might be a problem though, he looks nothing like the actor. Is it possible to find a copy of the original game? I’ve played it but it’s missing from my collection.

Hi Rory, thanks for the comment.
I think one of the few places you can get the original from now is eBay (if you’re looking for a legal copy anyway). Just search for it and you should be able to get yourself a copy delivered for under a fiver.

Mobius generally wears his hood, so if they decided to use the actor then he could constantly have his face covered, or obviously they could just use another actor and dub the voice.

I got to say that i always thought that the Legacy of Kain series should be made into a movie. The storyline is rich and has fresh take on the vampire and as we all know, vampires are a big marketing device. Just look at the Twilight series and such. The Kain series might be a difficult sell tho as is because the twists are well known (not something you want everyone to know when you put out the movie) and there is no love interest (from what i can remember) to sustain interest from all audience types. But just because the game’s story was great doesn’t mean that it has to be an absolute remake of it. Very few video games lend themselves to become a movie and most if not all have failed to be taken seriously. Although, the Kain series has the ground work for an epic movie that could allow for a parallel story to be told, possibly from the point of view of the Sariphan (the human vampire hunters). Using their point of view you can tell the whole story of how the vampires (once angelic beings) came to feed on the living, betraying those who worshiped them, and then spin into the Kain dynasty and how it has affected the humans (which could have correlations to society). Then steps in a creature (Raziel) that has the power to influence change and restore balance. The idea of making the movie not about Kain and Raziel directly would annoy a lot of people I’m sure but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have the major events of the game’s storyline still play out in grand form. I know I’m probably talking to the ether here but there is potential in this game to become a movie in some fashion. You just have to look past the fact that its a video game. Certain aspects of the storyline became more substantial while you were playing it and such a device can’t be replicated in a movie. If a movie did come out, I would certainly see it even if my suggestions are way off.

I would definatly love to see a lok movie. but the storyline has to differ the game a little without destroying the characters for it to succeed. we have all played the games and know where the story goes. Resident evil is a great example. the actors that I would like to see is thomas ian griffith as kain, watch jo carpenters vampires you will know why.
